Winter evenings

Winter evenings. So cold and frigid. And yet inexplicably calm and serene. It's that quiet hour at the end of the day when the sun's last golden light softly spreads into the white. All of the world around me slows down and hushes into a silence as I pause to gaze at nature's own miracle.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!
----------------------------------------
Psst! Remember this place? It's the same place where I took these photos in fall. It's always amazing to me how the smallest change in season can give a whole different atmosphere to a place.

Oh so different it is.
Had you not told this, I would not guessed.

Somehow I liked the winter calmness more.

Merry Christmas to you & Joe. :)

Beautiful pictures. Sitting in Mumbai, where it is warm and humid does not get me into the Christmas mood. Your pictures did!!

Happy Holidays.

BTW, do you study at Notre Dame?

I love winters. Especially white winters as long as i don't have to shovel the driveway. LOL!!!

Your photographs (fall pics included) have beautiful colors. And, for the life of me, i wouldn't have guessed that this is the same place!

I won't nitpick this time. I don't want you to hate me. LOL!

Looks like you have a wonderful collection of pictures form that place (name?). The last picture is my favorite and I guess its time to change my wallpaper :)

The winter is doing too much on me, and I am suffering with a bloody clod followed by fever :(

Hi Vagabond! Hope you had a great holiday season and wish you a 2009 much better than we can anticipate and at least as better as if your dreams come true!
Health, Peace, and… some money to spend… ;)
Too much snow on these pictures for my taste, but the photos are awesome!! Anyhow, I prefer the reflections...
As for Blogtrotter, it’s visiting the Red Fort in Delhi. Hope you enjoy and have a great week!

@Trevor:
LOL. You know I was kidding about killing you the last time, right? I dont hate you.

I love winters too. I just hate the endless cold. And scraping the ice from my car every morning. And having to wear a gazillion thick layers to stay warm. :P

@Alok:
I put the name of the place in the labels at the end of the post. It's on a university campus in South Bend, Indiana (USA).

Hope you feel better soon. :)

Life is always beautiful no matter where you live or where you are. But yes, I agree...I have often been extremely lucky to be in the right place at the right time to experience just the right moment that life had to offer. :)
