The Couple

I see the same couple every evening as I walk my dogs by the river bank. Wiggling and waggling their tails, waddling along the way. Some days they argue loudly, squawking and quacking, seems like they've got lots to say. And then there are other days like this cold autumn evening when they seem content to just sit together, and share a moment, brightening up my day. They're quite the couple, arent they? Him in his bright suit and she in her drab gray.

PS. If you're an animal lover like me, you might want to check out Trisha's photo. It's sad and yet inspiring enough to make you want to make a difference.

There are lots of things that we have to learn from these creatures :) I liked the perspective you have given to these pictures. Somewhere I believe they reflect a different world around us, but prefer to remain the same.

You have a wonderful week ahead.

Very beautiful couple indeed. Wondering what they talk about

@ Alok: Yup. Animals sure could teach us a lot about life in general. I've always loved animals (lol. birds included).

You have a great week too.

@ Diana: Oh, I've seen human couples that bicker and make up the same way. LOL.

Thanks :)

@ Navin: With all the flapping of the wings that goes on and the animated quacks, I am sure it's quite a fascinating argument.
Cant tell you how often I've wished I could understand animal lingo. The conversations would be so much fun to listen in to.

Welcome to my blog :)

@ Bindu: What a coincidence! I just stumbled upon your blog yesterday through another blog (I forget whose) and liked what I saw at first glance but ran out of time to finish reading through it. And then you drop by here today! Thanks for your comments. Perhaps I'll drop by your blog later on today and finish reading what I started. It looks quite interesting. :)

@ Trisha: The 'he' is the one in the bright suit, and the 'she' is the one in drab gray. LOL. Male birds are usually the more glamorous of the pair.

And thanks for your nice comments. They make my day! :)

At last, I am back. :)

Have 1000+ unread blogs on my reader. :(

Your pictures are so beautiful, especially these kinds. I so wish I should remained abroad forever. It's difficult to find these beautiful creatures in our day-to-day life here. No ?

BTW, in peacocks also they have the male dressing up to woo his female. :P

@Trisha:-You are always in such a hurry... I think you always jump to comment section w/o reading the post eh ? :P

^ Yay! Look who's back! Does this mean I'll be getting to read a new travelogue soon?

You've got to be kidding. You wish you could have remained abroad?! Cant tell you how many times in a day I wish I was in India. There are beautiful places to see here too, but the people, wildlife and places are so much more beautiful in India than anywhere else I've been.

Maybe it's a case of the grass is greener on the other side. LOL.

hmm they make a wonderful couple. btw i get enthusiastic listening abt rivers. wud hav loved to live near a river, unfortunately stay in a concrete jungle called delhi

^ Thanks, Rahi...and welcome to my blog :)

Yup. I do enjoy living near the river. Cities are nice but after a while the whole concrete jungle suffocates me and so it's nice to have a somewhat serene place to go home to at the end of the day. Hey...but you live in Delhi, and I absolutely love the architecture there.
