I love this magical time of the year, when the last leaves of autumn are all but gone, and the very first snowfall of the season has just begun. When the stray birds say their goodbyes and depart for the winter. And the earth covers up in a thick white blanket and falls into a deep slumber. The only sound in the cold air is the soft crunch of the snow beneath my feet. The world sleeps quiet and serene as I walk through winter’s wonderland.

So beautiful pics! and wow – the second and the last photo from top are my favorites, I say - amazing pictures from winter’s wonderland :)
have a equally beautiful week ahead. Well done!
Oh wow! Beautiful pictures. I so miss snow in the winter.
@ Alok: Thanks...and always nice to hear your picks from the series. You have a good week too. :)
@ Bindu: I love the first snowfall and for all of December, it's all really magical...but by March, I've had enough of all the white and I'm ready to have a nervous breakdown if the sun doesnt come shining through the gloomy clouds. Right now, I'm still in my sigh-i-love-snow phase. lol.
yeah the pics were beautiful. did u shoot them. everything was fine except the snow thing. bahut tamanna hai ki snow dekhun. dekho kab poori hoti hai
The second and the third pic are magical....
Wow! images are beautiful and your description is bringing them to life. Wish I could experience this first hand
Halo, am late, sorry, I liked the first, second and the last the best :) The last and the first one is again is such contrast in experience, one is 'warm, pregnant with possibilities' and the other 'cold, not hopeless'
Be careful while walking, did you know the back of ur neck is the part, you must cover to save urself from catching a cold? thats what the trekkers wd teach you...brr beautifully cold but I love the sunshine - sunshine in the waters makes me happy...have a nice week, Vee.
Am struggling with Gujarati docs rt now, trying to read my house agreement on my own ;)
and "winter wonderland" is a nice title too
Oh Oh Oh.. You have become very popular !! Just one day & so many comments ! :P
And I think you've decided to make me envy now. I am so much missing the winters of western world. :(
The bright wide smile when I feel the softness and see the enormous white blanket.
My picks are 2, 4, 6 & 7th.
Because of time constraints, I am not visiting all the blogs (have just started reading them slowly) but you force me to do so. :)
@ Rahi: Yes, I took these photos and every single photo that you see on this website. I take copyrights very seriously. I dont use other people's photos and I dont like other people using my photos without permission.
I hope someday tumhari tamanna poori ho jaye and you can get to see snow for yourself. :)
Oh Geez. I lost half of my viewers because of my pathetic hindi, didnt I? Okay, you guys can stop laughing hysterically now.
@ Diana: Thanks...glad you like them. :)
@ Navin: Thank you. And you never know...someday when you least expect it, you'll get to experience snow.
@ Trisha: I liked reading which ones you liked and why. Sunshine in the waters makes me happy too. Heck. Sunshine in itself makes me happy. Warm sunshine peeking through the clouds during a cold winter day. I could use some of that right now. It's cold and dreary outside.
LOL. You sound just like my mother with the cover the back of your neck when you walk in the snow part. :P
@ Cuckoo:
Hahaha! I pay them with brownies to come visit and drop flattering comments to make it look like I'm popular. Didnt you get the memo? No brownie for you.
After all the envying I did watching your photos from the "reporting from" post, I figured you could use some envying too. You're welcome. lol.
Hi Vagabond! It’s always great when I have a chance to get here! And these snow pictures are awesome!
Now, interested in Tunisia? Blogtrotter has it! ;)) Hope you enjoy! Have a great week!

@Rawnie: Glad you liked the photos, and thanks for letting me know of your picks. Welcome to my blog :)
Amazing photos! I especially love the first and the second ones. The second is simply superb with the red and the white....where were these taken?
@ashes:
Thanks. These were taken really close to where I live. I live in an apartment across from a river and most of these photos were taken on a walk by the side of the river. A few of them were taken in a park in my neighborhood.
They're all taken in Indiana, USA.
These ones are cool, I liked the red one in the foreground of white snow..:)
The best one is the one with red... and the white background...so unusual, so beautiful!
